| When: | These events occur on an ad-hoc basis |

Days out are organised on an ad hoc basis but rely on being able to fill a coach, i.e. 49/52 people signing up. We try to choose a venue that is of interest to the members and usually have a professional guide to point out the key features. u3a members like going on boats so often the day trip will involve a boat at some point.
Short holidays in the spring and autumn alternate, where possible between the UK and Europe. May 2026 will see us visiting the Castles and Gardens of the Belgian Ardennes, cruising on the Meuse and guide walks around Namur and Dinant. Full details see notices elsewhere on the website or from Iain. For environmental reasons, we do not fly, so while this restricts our range, there is still plenty to see at home and in Europe.
Partners and other halves are also welcome although preference is always given to any u3a members.
These events are advertised in the weekly bulletin and here below on this web page. The trips are operated on a first come first served basis, although a waiting list is also operated.
If you're interested on going on an event, please email Iain in the first instance.
A risk assessment will be undertaken for each event and will be reliant on the Coach Company's own risk undertaking
