What is short tennis?  The game is played with a 19” long tennis racquet using a soft foam ball on a badminton court, but with the net at tennis court height.  Points are scored when the opponent puts the ball in the net or out of the court and the first to 15 is the winner.  We usually play doubles; the more strenuous singles game uses the narrower court, excluding the ‘tramlines’.  Service is either underarm or overhead, with each player in turn having 5 serves from alternate sides.
