The Art History Group is presented by Bertram Aitchison QPM who studied Art History at Birkbeck College, London University, including extensive disciplines in Classical and Renaissance Art, French 19 th Century Art and Modern Art.

Bertram is a former Director of British Life and Culture courses with the American Institute for Foreign Study where he was also a hands on tutor of Art History and British History in both London and Oxford. He won the London Blue Badge Guide of the Year award in 2000 and has considerable experience of British and European touring. He is a registered guide for all major UK galleries, Museums and Royal Palaces.

This is a pictorial journey with artists who have depicted a legacy of European Royalty’s exploits incorporating a wide panorama of court life, portraits and revolutions; there is a rich tapestry to explore.
