We are an active group and meet at a pre-arranged garden or garden centre. Usually meeting at 10.30 a.m. time with no fixed end time as this depends on the garden's size.
In January of each year, the group discusses which gardens we would like to visit in the coming year. The gardens visited, are usually advertised in the Sussex National Garden Scheme booklet.
The average charge is £5 for visiting the garden, which goes to an NGS charity. Generally refreshments are an additional £5. Members decide in advance if they want to come as most of the gardens require a minimum number of visitors. We usually car share.
Members come away from these visits with ideas on how to improve our own gardens, or are pleased to see some of the plants and flowers we already have in our gardens.
During the Autumn/Winter months, we visit garden centres or have a talk. There is a get together at Christmas.
