New members welcome, just turn up and see how you get on. No knowledge of astronomy is necessary, however, any skills in the subject would always be useful. Drinks and biscuits are provided as there is a kitchen ( volunteers required).
The meeting subjects are based loosely on the present GCSE course, though there are no tests of course. Once the topics are completed then we go around the course again and / or introduce new topics.
In keeping with u3a ethos, course members should offer some input e.g. discuss a constellation or a latest development.
A link to all Messier Object images is here.

If the opportunity allows, such as a rare eclipse event, we will try viewing the event through telescopes.
